    More about me

I am Viktorija Bučinskaitė, a legal professional with over ten years of experience in law, data protection, equality, and quality management in the healthcare and academic sectors. Currently, I serve as Opportunities Coordinator at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and as Head of the Legal Department / Quality Management Specialist at Kaunas Hospital of the same university, where I also act as Data Protection and Anti-Corruption Officer.

My academic background includes a Master's degree in Public Administration from Mykolas Romeris University and ongoing Master's studies in Human Rights at Vytautas Magnus University, with a thesis focusing on the right to education for refugees under the European Convention on Human Rights. I graduated from Vilnius University Faculty of Law with specialization in criminal law.

At work, I actively promote gender equality, having initiated and coordinated efforts to establish a Gender Equality Commission at my institution. I am passionate about human rights, particularly the rights of vulnerable groups, and I have been actively engaged as a legal aid volunteer for migrants and asylum seekers in Lithuania.

I believe in learning through mentorship and collaboration, particularly in fostering environments where people feel empowered to challenge inequalities and innovate. My role as a mentor is not only to share knowledge but to guide participants in developing their own ideas for social innovation and human rights advocacy.
