    Maria Argyriou is a senior lecturer for Applied Music Pedagogy, Department of Pre-School Education & Educational Design, School of Humanities, University of the Aegean (Rhodes, Greece). She has a postdoctoral degree from the same department (Practical Aspects and Praxial Philosophy of Music Education). She holds a Ph.D. (Department of Music Studies, Ionian University), specializing in cultural policy and music education, as well as the social and political aspects of music education, a Master of Education (The Open University of Greece), and a second Master in Education with a specialization in education leadership and school unit assessment. Her literary activities include the official textbooks for Greek Music Education (School-Age 6–8: Student’s Book, Student’s Textbook, Teachers Handbook), as well as editing scientific and pedagogical editions for the Greek Association of Primary Music Education Teachers (GAPMET, www.primarymusic.gr). She is co-editor of the open-access “Hellenic Journal of Music, Education, and Culture” (HeJMEC, http://hejmec.eu/journal/index.php/HeJMEC) and editor of the open-access journal ""Music in the First Grade"" (http://mspv.aegean.gr/) (Department of Pre-School Education & Educational Design, School of Humanities, University of the Aegean). She was awarded one of the three ""Kiveli-Y. Horn scholarships/Special Grants 2024"" for archival research at ""The Music Library of Greece—Lilian Voudouri"" (https://mmb.org.gr/en).
