Quiet Hour

Social Challenge Addressed

When shopping in supermarkets, customers are exposed to multiple sensory stimuli, including loud music, advertisements, checkout beeps, and bright or flashing lights. People who are sensitive to such stimuli, particularly seniors and individuals with sensory sensitivities, may find shopping difficult and stressful.

Description of the Solution / Business Idea

Implementing a "Quiet Hour" in supermarkets to make shopping easier for seniors and individuals with sensory sensitivities in Kraków. We propose introducing one hour each week during which the sensory stimuli mentioned above would be reduced, allowing people who are sensitive to them to shop in a more comfortable and less stressful environment. First implemented as a pilot in one neighbourhood, and later, if successful, promoted with well-known public figures.
