Future-proofing higher education with solutions from sustainable AI and AI for sustainability

Social Challenge Addressed

A cascade of urgent, interconnected challenges, i.e. climate change, accelerating AI, resource scarcity, inequality, puts higher education under an immense pressure to act. Under growing social, ethical and legal obligations, institutions' response is often slow and patchy. As key drivers of innovation, they risk falling behind fast-changing realities. Closing this readiness gap calls for shared responsibility, clear direction, and the courage to engage every level of the institution.

Description of the Solution / Business Idea

At Sustainability Experience Lab, we turn sustainability rules and standards into participatory action. Using an AI-powered approach, we help higher education map challenges to relevant sustainable development goals and design tailored solutions. We support institutions to use AI ethically, align it with sustainability strategies, and build engagement through immersive, story-driven learning. Our call: change on purpose, not under pressure, in a doable, shareable, and worth following way.

We are looking for:
  • Funding
  • Partners
  • Visibility / media
  • Access to users / communities
We can help with:
  • Expertise in sustainability and sustainable AI
  • Peer exchange
  • Policy insights
  • Cross-border collaboration
  • Gamified learning tools and storytelling methods
