Winter School: "Building ERUA Sustainable Future Learning Paths: Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to SDG 4: Quality Education"

University of the Aegean, 3-7 November 2025

The University of the Aegean in collaboration with SWPS University developed the ERUA Winter School"Building ERUA Sustainable Future Learning Paths: Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to SDG 4: Quality Education", to highlight and reinforce the alignment of ERUA’s aims with Sustainable Development Goal 4 through multiple interconnected academic pathways. The programme emphasizes inclusive and equitable quality education by bringing together diverse perspectives from all partner institutions, creating an educational environment that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.

By showcasing the three joint master programs, Psychology of Climate Action, International Law and Post-Conflict Reconstruction / Digital Transformation of Administration and Judiciary, and Forced Migration Studies, the winter school promotes specialized education that addresses complex global challenges. This approach emphasizes SDG 4's focus on relevant skills development, which aims to substantially increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment and entrepreneurship

The interdisciplinary nature of the featured programs demonstrates how quality education must extend beyond traditional subject boundaries to equip students with the comprehensive knowledge needed to address contemporary global challenges.

Throughout the program, the integration of practical workshops and field experiences reflects SDG 4's emphasis on education that goes beyond theoretical knowledge to develop applicable skills. This approach prepares participants to become agents of positive change in their communities, embodying the transformative potential of quality education as envisioned in the Sustainable Development Goals.
